About My Background and Philosophy
I have been a certified personal trainer for 9 years. I hold nationally
recognized certifications from the American Council on Exercise and the
National Academy of Sport’s Medicine. I also have a BS degree from the
University of MN in Kinesiology. Over the years, I have trained in both
large and small fitness facilities, in private homes and even a spa. I have
presented nationally teaching beginning trainer certification programs for
the National Exercise Trainer’s Association.
I became involved with the fitness world in my early 20’s. I had a love for
exercise and quickly discovered that it gave me the energy, self-esteem, and the
social network I needed to be outgoing and at my best. As a naturally shy person
it gave me the confidence I needed to make my way in a new city, away from
family and friends. I have been following my passion for fitness and health
every since.
I approach exercise with an open-minded attitude and realize that what is
right for one person may not be right for the next. I pride myself on spending a
great deal of time during your initial $25.00 consultation getting to know you and
understanding not only what your goal is but what you enjoy and what motivates
you. You can be successful at anything you set your mind to as long as you have
the desire and thought out action plan. So, if you bring the desire I will help
you with the plan and motivate and cheer you on along the way. I will even make
it fun!! I promise. So, call or
email me today to schedule your $25.00
consultation.
